| Mythology, fantasies, costume dramas have always been a integral part of Indian television. Director Sunil Agnihotri has made a career out of these subjects. After the stupendous success of earlier shows such as Jai Ganesha, Betaal Pachisi and Chandrakanta, Sunil is ready to dole out his latest costume drama Chandramukhi. This hour long weekly will be aired on DD1 every Tuesday from the third week of October at 10.00 p.m. Chandramukhi revolves around the tale of Vanraj (Sachin Khurana), who turns into an animal on amavasya (moonless night) and kills his own people. There's also a curse upon him, whereby his father turned blind after there eye-contact between the two. The only way for Vanraj to restore his father's vision is by getting a particular flower from Princess Chandramukhi's (Piku Sharma) Kingdom - a place where no one comes back alive. The other starcast includes the likes of Krutika Desai, Deepak Parashar, Natasha Sinha, Dinesh Hingoo and Raja Chaudhray. |
